Inspired by his mother, a cancer survivor who was at one point forced to wear wigs due to medical treatment, AHAT boss OD decided to cut off his hair and donate it to cancer patients in need.
His blog, which was published on the West Coast league's channel on Jan. 14, outlines his decision to cut his hair and then shows the moment itself. "For the last year or so I been letting my hair grow out. Like normally I trim it every now and then but ... I wanted to donate my hair to cancer patients, so I looked online and they said that the hair you cut off has to be longer, at least ten inches ... I'm ready to cut it off, I'm ready to donate it," says OD.
OD ended up donating about 14 inches to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths program, a campaign that gives free real-hair wigs to female cancer patients.
