Murda Mook Reveals Future Plans For “Gladiator School”

New York lyricist Murda Mook revealed that the first edition of “Gladiator School” was just the start and that fans will be hearing more information on the next chapter of the saga soon.

While discussing a possible antic from Aye Verb at their battle at GO-Rilla Warfare’s “Blueprint” event on Sept. 20, Daylyt explained how he would go “beyond human morals” to out-antic fellow battle rappers that try to challenge him.

Marv Won Discusses Current Industry Crossover In Battle Rap

Despite not being featured on the card for “Gladiator School” Marv Won was still present at the event and we spoke with him to get his thoughts on the current industry crossover that’s happening in battle rap. Marv Won, who battled Eminem in a deleted scene from the 2002 movie "8 Mile," says he doesn’t have a problem with the crossover but admits he would only battle an industry artist “if it made sense.”

B Magic On Young B: “I Ain’t Ever Heard Of Jokes Over Bars”

Prior to his battle with Young B, St. Louis battler B Magic discussed his then-upcoming opponent and how he expects to leave the event the winner. He also spoke about Young B’s trait as being a funny battler but subsequently affirms that it’s not a danger as bars are more important in battle rap.

Shotgun Suge Breaks Down Battles At “Gladiator School”

After the final match-up of the evening, Shotgun Suge offered his thoughts on the battles that took place and
who he thought took home the victories. Suge says he believes Arsonal won 3-0 and that Young B came “with a point to prove.”

John John Da Don Reveals Original “Gladiator School” Opponent

Speaking before his battle against Arsonal, John John Da Don revealed that his original match-up was supposed to be against Hollow Da Don and that Arsonal’s original battle was supposed to be against Murda Mook. He goes on to say that after Murda Mook declined the bout with Arsonal, that’s how his battle with the latter came into play. Jaz The Rapper was also present and spoke about how she thought the female battles were “gonna be better than the males.”

O’fficial Says Her And E Hart Was The Top Female Match-Up Of “Gladiator School”

Female lyricist O’fficial says she and E Hart went punch for punch in their battle at “Gladiator School.” She also says their match-up was the best female battle of the event and later affirms that Calicoe had both performance and bodybag of the night in his battle against Hitman Holla.

Chris Unbias & Jon Rines Weigh In On “Gladiator School”

Chris Unbias and Jon Rines discuss their favorite battles from the night and who they thought had the performance of the event citing Calicoe and O’fficial, among others. As they’re both Atlanta natives, the two also weigh in on what the night meant for the ATL battle rap landscape.
